How to fix the speaker problem on your device?
Unfortunately, our mobile phones do not give the same performance as the first day from the moment we start using them. As you use the device, the performance of parts such as speakers and microphones degrades over time. Microphones and speakers of smartphones are often clogged with small particles such as dust, dirt, cotton wool, making a crackling sound or no sound at all.
Have you encountered the problem of no sound from the phone speaker while talking in handsfree mode? If there is no sound from the speaker of the phone, you can apply many troubleshooting methods to solve the sound problem.
To understand the cause of the problem, follow the steps below:
1. Check the application sound settings.
Some apps like Facebook offer the option to mute the app regardless of the main device volume. If there is no sound from a particular application, check the application sound settings. You may have muted or muted the application. Therefore, the phone media sound may not be output.
2. Check the media volume.
If there is still no sound, see if the media volume is turned up.
3. Make sure Do Not Disturb mode is not enabled.
This useful feature may be the reason why there is no sound. To disable this setting, go to Settings and turn off Do Not Disturb.
4. Make sure that the headphones are not plugged in.
Many phones automatically mute external audio when headphones are plugged in. Therefore, there may be no sound from the video on the phone. If you haven't completely removed the headphones, that could be the cause of the problem.
5. Take the phone out of its case.
Phone cases can block sound. Test the sound again after removing the device from the case. You will immediately notice an improvement in the sound.
6. Restart the device.
A reboot clears software issues that prevent sound from playing. Press and hold the power button until you see the options on the screen. Click Restart. If there is no sound from the video on the phone, this method may offer you a solution.
7. Turn the device off and on again.
If restarting doesn't work, it may have different technical issues that require you to power cycle the device. Press and hold the power button and click Shut down. Test the sound with an app when the phone is back on.
8. Reinstall the battery.
Not all phones may have a removable battery. However, if your phone's battery is removable, remove and insert the battery and restart the phone without erasing your data. See the phone manufacturer's user guide or website for details.
9. Clean the speaker.
The reason why you say there is no sound from the speaker may be a clogged speaker due to dirt. Therefore, cleaning can make the sound come back. Before cleaning the speaker, turn off the phone and remove the battery. Use compressed air freshener and spray the spray on the speaker. After this process, you can see that dirt and dust come out. Do not try to clean the speaker if you are not familiar with the smartphone hardware or if your device is still under warranty.
10. Reset all settings.
Before repairing your phone, reset the phone to its default settings. With this action, the application or software settings that are blocking the speaker will be removed. Thus, you can solve the problem that the phone does not sound.
If the above steps do not work, you can take your phone to technical service stores for more detailed information.
